The Tour d'Aï and Tour de Mayen are two amazing looking and picturesque mountains above Lac Léman. Take the cable car from Leysin to "Berneuse", from where you hike down a little bit. Tip: There are great cabins to shoot photos. From this lowest point, we ascend along the back of the Tour d'Aï until we reach "Chaux de Mont". On our trip we stay there for sunset and built our tent up, so we could witness the two mountains in the best light possible. Of course, you can get this view as well if you make a day hike. After enjoying this spot, you can return to Berneuse or hike down to the Col d'Ayerne and Roche VD or La Lécherette. In winter, this place is a great area for little ski touring trips, as you can see on the last two photos.
