Ngo 224 Le Duan in Hanoi's Old Quarter, also known as "The Train Street", is a narrow alley that daily sees a twice-daily train pass through it. Built by the French in 1902, this active rail line has become a popular tourist attraction, despite being closed by local authorities in October 2019 due to security concerns. Tourists can still experience the thrill of the passing train from local cafes with their outdoor seating areas, which will accommodate visitors when the train veers closer to the buildings on either side of the rails. The street is also home to a number of squatters and drug addicts, creating an exciting atmosphere for those wanting a unique adventure.
