Wat Phraphuttha Saengtham is a vast and awe-inspiring temple complex located in Nong Khae, Thailand. Set on 300 rai of land (nearly 50 hectares), this grand structure contains some of the most impressive modern Buddhist architecture in the area. A large silver-colored ellipse, resembling an overturned monk's alms bowl, stands 40 meters high and can be seen from Highway 1 south of Saraburi. Many smaller buildings are completed, suitable for accommodating thousands of devotees at once. Whether you are religious or not, the sheer beauty of the site makes it worth experiencing; a perfect way to marvel at the magnitude of Thai culture!
I've been there 2 times, and the 2 times, the main building was not finished at all, still in construction. There are other new smaller ones being built around which are nice, but I think it will take several years to complete this huge complex.
