The museum covers everything you need to know about New Zealand. From its history, natural landscapes, and geography to the Māori heritage and Pacific Island cultures. As the largest museum in the country, its six stories house over 800,000 artworks and objects, presented through engaging and interactive exhibits that are designed for all ages. We especially enjoyed uncovering New Zealand's extraordinary wildlife and seismic history. The museum is open daily from 10 AM to 6 PM. And while residents of New Zealand can enter for free, international visitors do have to pay.
