Welcome to the South Hams, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Devon. There are endless things to do in this area, but I'm going to show you how to make the most of your week and experience the highlights of South Devon.
On your weeks holiday, I'm sure you'll want to be able to relax and have a base, but also not spend too much time in the car, and so it's for this reason that I have suggested having two stops on this itinerary, spending 4 nights in Salcombe and 3 nights in Dartmouth.
So, Day 1, you've arrived in Salcombe! I've suggested the Harbour Beach Club as it is a truly gorgeous hotel with the beautiful South Sands beach right in front of it. There is a spa, a great restaurant and bar on site so you have everything you could need.

You've probably been travelling most of today so if you time this evening after you arrive, I'd really recommend a short 40 minute walk around the gem that is Snapes Point. This piece of land is surrounded by the estuary, so you have water views at every turn. You'll also get to look back over Salcombe, the town where you're staying so enjoy it from this vantage point and get excited for the week ahead.

For dinner, let's start off with a bang at a Salcombe institution, the Crab Shed. The seafood here is outstanding, as you would expect. Just be sure to book in advance as it does get busy!
