Located in the heart of Seoul's historic Jae-dong area not far from Insadong neighborhood. "Insadong Jjuggumi" 인사동쭈꾸미 is a must-visit restaurant for seafood lovers. With its clean and inviting white exterior, it's hard to resist stepping inside. The menu offers a variety of delicious options. Here are our recommendations:
1. As we know traveling as a Muslim in Korea can be harsh since most of the food contains pork dishes. This restaurant is a perfect getaway from that problem. They have random dishes but also 'only seafood' dishes there which will be recommended below.
2. We recommend you try the '쭈꾸미떡볶이" it's the "Webfoot octopus+ deokbokki stew". I've tried many Webfoot octopuses in Korea, but this place is one of my favorites so far! I come here at least 2-3 times a year!
3. Don't forget to add cheese! We've noticed it's not always mentioned on the menu in English, so don't be afraid to ask the owner to add cheese(cheese is always extra 2-3$). In Korean that would be "치즈 추가해주세요" Cheeseu chuga hae-ju-sae-yo!" All food in Korea tastes better with cheese on it~
4. My husband personally likes the "쭈꾸미+삼겹" which is "Webfoot octopus+ Samgyeopsal". Seafood and meat all together at once.
5. This place is scored 3.7stars on Google Maps. THIS IS ONE OF THE REASONS I SAY DONT TRUST MAP REVIEWs. Always say that to our clients, friends, and just to everyone. There are many places that are scored 4-5 stars and taste like plastic, and as you see this place scored 3.7, but I assure you as a local, this place will become your favorite! I've brought my Muslim friend here before and she was so happy she finally could taste a good Korean dish!
Give it a try!
