Message from Hat Explores

Kaminarimon, also known as the Thunder Gate, is the iconic entrance to Sensoji Temple in Asakusa, Tokyo. This historic gate features statues of the Wind God and Thunder God on either side, a massive lantern at its center, and a dragon carving symbolizing protection from fire and rain. Built in 941 and reconstructed over the years, Kaminarimon is a must-see spot for visitors looking to experience the rich history and culture of Japan.
