Located in the picturesque Arashiyama area, this park offers a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with Japanese Macaques, also known as snow monkeys. Visitors can feed these adorable creatures (with food from the park), enjoy a leisurely hike with stunning views, and even catch a glimpse of baby monkeys playing around! It's a wild experience that's both exciting and heartwarming, perfect for a fun day out in Kyoto.
TIPS
Unless you're visiting via a guided tour, you can buy tickets for 600 yen (by cash only). Its free for <3 yrs old and children <16 yrs can enter for 300 yen.
Its a steep 30min walk up so consider your physical abilities for this visit and wear comfy shoes
Dont feed the monkeys any food except the 50yen per pack food they provide at the park
