Gunnar’s Ultimate Guide to Iceland is an absolutely fantastic reference for all the best things to do, see, and eat/drink around the country, but I cannot possibly say enough great things about his tour! Gunnar seems to know anything and everything one would want to learn, and being able to chat with and learn from him as we drove around the country (to a wealth of amazing spots) was an experience like no other.

There are plenty of things to explore that you might see on social media or in travel guides, but the number of “unlisted” things we saw, thanks to Gunnar, was astounding. He made the trip feel much less like a typical tour, and much more of a fun day driving around with a new friend; what’s more, his general energy really can’t be beat!

My final point - I am never one to go for the “guided tour,” as I tend to enjoy an organic approach to discovering a country; and every single moment of the day with Gunnar was filled with things we would never have seen, and never learned, without his help, knowledge, and enthusiasm.

If this site allowed for extra stars above 5, I’d have given him 10!

Gunnar’s guide helped us plan the perfect trip around the Ring Road! Would definitely recommend for anyone planning on exploring Iceland!

We are a family of 5 and we asked Gunnar to make a personalized itinerary for us because we were travelling with a baby of 1yo, and it was the better decision we could have ever made. All the information was there: sightseeing, restaurants, hotels, activities… and all of them were baby friendly. We literally followed it and it was amazing. Planning a trip to Iceland is not for the faint of heart. There is so much you want to do and see that you don’t know where to begin. But with Gunnar’s guide we were able to tackle all the planning and accommodate everything in an organized manner. Definitively recommend getting his guide!

Such a wonderful resource. There were so many little gems that I would never have found on my own before traveling to Iceland. Easy to use and great pictures. The only thing I wish, is that the website would create a map of my only my favorite things that I picked out from his amazing list. Thanks you for putting it together though, I can tell you love this country. I am so excited to go explore.
