Waterfall
A nice steep Hike, that is not for the faint of heart. But absolutely doable! Hengifoss Waterfall is a must-see gem in East Iceland, known for its stunning 128-meter drop and vibrant red clay and black basalt rock formations. The hike to the waterfall is about 2.5 km long and offers breathtaking views along the way, including a stop at the smaller but equally beautiful Litlanesfoss waterfall. Make sure to visit during the summer for the best weather and greenery, but be prepared for a slippery winter trek if you go in the colder months. Don't forget to snap some pics of the unique geological history on display at Hengifoss!
