This city is the ideal base for exploring the region's renowned hiking trails, offering easy access to some of Patagonia's most breathtaking landscapes. With its proximity to iconic routes like Laguna de los Tres and Laguna Torre, it’s perfectly situated for adventurers. A stay of three nights is usually sufficient to experience the most famous hikes, providing enough time to immerse yourself in the stunning scenery and recharge after each day's trek.

PRO TIP:
The weather in El Chaltén can be quite unforgiving for tourists, often forcing the cancellation of planned activities for the day. It’s wise to err on the side of caution and include an extra day in your itinerary for this city, rather than leaving without experiencing the sights you came to see.
