Located in the middle of the altiplano, the Isluga Volcano National Park is characterized by being surrounded by volcanoes, lagoons and sacred hills of the Aymara people. It is one of the areas with the greatest biodiversity in the Andean highlands.

With an area of ​​174,744 hectares, the Isluga Volcano National Park has an incredible relief of heights and a fabulous flora and fauna, which extend between the foothills and the Andean Altiplano. It is located in the Tarapacá region, at an average altitude of 4,000 meters, and 232 km. northeast of Iquique. In this park, which is open throughout the year for tourist visits, modernity and traditions are combined, creating a very special atmosphere.

Located in Colchane, it has the Latarama, Tatajachura and Qinsachata hills (5,207, 5,252 and 5,400 meters high respectively), and the Isluga Volcano (5,218 meters), which gives its name to this area of ​​protection and conservation of resources natural.

Declared a national park in 1967, it has shrubs, cacti, queñoas, and high-altitude flora that is located in the foothills. At the same time, it is also possible to find flora in the highlands with the presence of wild straw and bofedales above 4,000 meters high in humid terrain.
