Built between 1808 and 1810, Villa Melzi dāEril was designed by architect Giacondo Albertolli for Francesco Melzi dāEril, a prominent Italian politician and close ally of Napoleon. The villa served as a summer residence and reflects a Neoclassical style, surrounded by lush gardens that showcase the artistry of European landscaping during the 19th century.
