Fáskrúðsfjörður is a charming village in eastern Iceland, nestled between Reyðarfjörður and Stöðvarfjörður. With a population of 662, it's one of the easternmost settlements in the country. The village was once home to a hospital for French fishermen and still retains its French connection with bilingual street signs. Visitors can explore the French cemetery, take boat trips to Skrúður island to see puffins, and admire the unique driftwood church at Kolfreyjustaður. Plus, Fáskrúðsfjörður is a great spot for catching the Northern Lights!
