Bahia Lapataia is one of the world's most fascinating places, providing visitors with access to the end of the Pan-American Highway network. Located within Tierra del Fuego National Park, it is the most southern point you can drive to in the Western Hemisphere. The area has been inhabited by the Yámana people for 10,000 years, and still houses native wildlife including sea birds, dolphins, and other cold-water animals. Visitors can explore this secluded wilderness via a boardwalk leading out to the bay, which is a branch of the Beagle Channel and named “Bay of Forests” by the Yámana people. This amazing destination is an ideal place to start or end a road trip, giving travelers the chance to experience its stunning views, historical monuments, and captivating wildlife.
