A replica of the original hot pool that was used by the Vikings over a thousand years ago. The hot pool was closed for 140 years due to a landslide, but a replica was built close to the original site and opened in 2009. The experience of visiting this place was truly magical, it felt like stepping back in time. The pool is designed to resemble what we believe the hot pools of the Vikings looked like and the atmosphere is truly relaxing. I highly recommend visiting Guðrúnarlaug if you're interested in history and a unique and calming experience.
