There are some places which I wish should be kept a secret forever and this is one of them. Kosoan is a hidden teahouse in the middle of Jiyugaoka shopping district of Tokyo.

A stone path lined with maple trees lead to a hall, where you remove your shoes to enter the tranquil space of tatami mats and lantern lit interior.

Here you will be served traditional matcha tea, coffee, amazake, shaved ice, and other sweet treats. 🍡🍵 Prices are actually surprisingly reasonable for what it offers.

Kosoan Teahouse offers a unique opportunity to connect with Japanese culture and relax away from the hustle and bustle of daily life making you feel as if you stepped into the quiet backstreets of Kyoto.
