Kotoku-in is a Buddhist temple in Kamakura known for its iconic Great Buddha statue. Standing at 13.35 meters tall and weighing around 93 tons, this statue is something you need to see with your own eyes at least once. Originally built in 1252, the statue has endured natural disasters and restoration efforts over the centuries, making it a symbol of resilience and cultural significance in Japan.
