Henjokutsu Cave at Daisho-in is a mysterious cave behind the main temple complex. Daisho-In Temple is one of the most unique and interesting temples in Japan and definitely worth visiting! The complex is a spread over a large area on a slope of the mountain with beautiful buildings and on different levels. Leading up to the temple you will see 500 small stone statues that grant you blessings on your ascension to the temple grounds. It's only 5mins away from Itsukushima Shrine and you don't want to make the mistake of missing out on this like most other tourists visiting Miyajima.
