Fish Lake Lookout is an impressive and challenging 6.6 mile out-and-back trail located in Whitehorse, Yukon. The trail climbs from a high elevation and takes 3h 41min for the average hiker to reach the top of the ridge. Here, hikers can experience majestic views of Fish Lake and adjacent Bonneville Lakes and Boundary mountain ranges. Visitors have lots of options for exploration on the ridges that are open year-round. Even during peak times, there is plenty opportunity for solitude and peace away from the crowds. Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a leash at all times. This hike offers picturesque landscapes and makes for an unforgettable outdoor adventure.

Eryn's Tips:

• This is a great hike for anytime of the year and I have done it many times on a snowy winter day when I want to get outside. If you are doing this hike in the spring, be prepared to get wet feet though as the melting snow runs off right down the trail!

• This is a super relaxed hike and I would classify it as easy :) You can park your car at the lake and walk to the trail head or drive all the way down past the lake! (There is usually plenty of room to park multiple vehicles at the trail head).

• If you're feeling energetic, you can also make this hike more advanced by hiking to the top and then going around the ridge of mountains at the top! I have never done this so I am not sure how long it takes but it is on my bucket list! :)

• Take your time while driving up the Fish Lake road and stop at some of the pull-offs to take in the views!! This is also a great place in the winter to get away from the city lights and see the northern lights!
