The weather in Lofoten can change very quickly. Be prepared for anything at any time, especially with kids. Always carry a good rain jacket, and possibly rain pants.

With that, don't write off a hike or adventure just because of the weather, because there's a chance it might eventually clear up—even when it seems like it won't!

More on clothes: Between rain, beaches and waterfalls, you'll probably end up with a lot of wet clothes. Dryers (or sunshine) aren't always available, so be sure to pack extra sets of dry clothes as if you may not have a way to dry clothes for a few days.
