Po-i-Kalyan is an Islamic religious complex in Bukhara, Uzbekistan, made up of the Kalan Mosque, the Kalan Minaret, and the Mir-i-Arab Madrasah. The complex, built in the 12th and 16th centuries, forms a square courtyard with the mosque and madrasah on opposite ends. The Kalan Minaret, standing at about 46 meters tall, is a prominent landmark in Bukhara. The mosque boasts a large blue dome and intricate tile decorations, while the madrasah was funded by selling Persian captives. Overall, Po-i-Kalyan is a stunning architectural ensemble that reflects the rich history and culture of Central Asia.
