The journey to Storsæterfossen starts at Vesterås. You’ll find the closest parking opportunity by the main road at Hole. There are two paths to choose from to get to the waterfall. There’s a gravel path 50 meters past the rental cabins on your left which branches off to a tractor road that continues up through a field. Keep following the tractor road until you see a gate at the edge of the forest. Passing through the gate leads you to a very well made stone paved path with hundreds of stairs that will take you all the way to the Storsæter waterfall.

The other path leads past the buildings at the end of the gravel path. This way is slightly shorter, but it’s also slightly steeper. This way also joins up with the well-made paved path to the waterfall, and it takes 45-60 minutes one way.
