Gearrannan Blackhouse Village Ltd is a fantastic and unique attraction for visitors to the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides.

Set in a deep cove on the southwest edge of the island, the village features beautifully restored traditional blackhouses, or thatched stone-walled dwellings, that served as homes to both people and animals for hundreds of years.

It's an incredible place to get photographs and feel like you are stepping back in time. A small entry fee also gives you access to the museum where you can find out lots of information on the houses and their history.
