To be honest, I think this is Australia’s creepiest giant sculpture, haha. Which probably makes it even more iconic to visit! The Giant Koala in Dadswells Bridge, Victoria, is a massive monument standing 14 meters high and weighing 12 tonnes. Built in 1989, it’s a popular roadside attraction that pays tribute to the dwindling number of koalas in the region. Originally named Sam after a rescued koala, this big fella now stands tall as a symbol of road safety awareness and a reminder of the impact of road trauma. Stop by and snap pics with this giant marsupial, explore the quirky souvenir shop, and hang out with the animals at the display. Plus, it’s a perfect pit stop for stretching your legs and grabbing a bite if you’re on a long drive. If you have checked out Australia's other massive sculptures you surely have to add this one to your list.
