Ófærufoss Waterfall, located in the Icelandic Highlands, is a hidden gem that many travelers miss out on. Its name means "impassable waterfall" in English, and it used to have a natural stone bridge crossing it until it collapsed in the 1990s. The waterfall cascades beautifully in two levels amidst stunning volcanic rocks and green moss, making it a dreamy sight to behold. Accessible only from July to September, reaching Ófærufoss involves a trek through the Eldgjá canyon, offering a unique and adventurous experience for those willing to explore off the beaten path.
