Vilterser Seeli is a beautiful lake located in Bad Ragaz, St. Gallen, in the shadow of the famous Pizol 5 lake hike, therefore I can assure you, you won't find many people on this side of the mountain. The trail to the lake is moderately challenging, but totally worth it. You'll pass through forests, meadows, and even encounter some wildlife along the way. Once you reach Vilterser Seeli, you can take a moment to relax and soak in the tranquility of the surroundings. It's the perfect spot for a picnic or just to sit and enjoy the beauty of nature. So if you're looking for a scenic hike with a rewarding destination, Vilterser Seeli is definitely worth checking out.

HIKE DETAILS

The hike is a loop trail.

Start at Bad Ragaz and take the cable car up to Pardiel Pizolbahn. You start your hike here on your right towards Schwarzbüel, Vilterser Obersäss and then you will reach the lake. Enjoy the break before tyou continue to Suntigweidsee which is another beautiful but artificial lake.

Spend some time here as well before your ascend back to Pardiel.

The hike is 7,5km long with 366 meters of elevation gain. It can take between 2-3 hours to complete the trail. Super scenic, highly recommend it.
