Alstrom Point in Big Water, Utah, offers a spectacular view of Lake Powell and Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. This point-to-point trail is roughly 26 miles long and can take an average of 9 hours to complete. It is great for exploring the backcountry, as it is usually quiet with an abundance of wildlife, rock formations, and wildflowers. A 4x4 vehicle or high clearance ride is necessary to make the full trek out to the point. It tends to be bumpy with mud and washed out areas, so caution should be taken before attempting the journey. With beautiful views at every turn, this is definitely an adventure worth experiencing.
