The Temple of the Moon is a majestic, 5,665 ft monolith located in Utah's Capitol Reef National Park. It is situated 12 miles north-northeast of the park's visitor centre and provides an incredible view for those daring enough to make it up. The entrada sandstone formation, which is estimated to be around 160 million years old, is a classic landmark within the Fremont River drainage basin and can be viewed by the glorious sunrise and moonlight. The iconic monolith towers nearly 300-feet above the surrounding terrain, making it an impressive sight to behold.
