London - The Big Five

You will no doubt want to see Buckingham Palace, the home of the King and something that is a must see if you are in London. During the Summer months, typically from July to September, the Palace is open daily from 9.30am - 7.30pm. Last entry is typically at 5.15pm. During the rest of the year, you can still admire the exterior of Buckingham Palace and witness the iconic Changing of the Guard ceremony, which takes place outside the Palace gates. The ceremony is free to watch and usually happens at 11am on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

St. Paul's Cathedral

Venture into the heart of London to discover the architectural marvel that is St. Paul's Cathedral. Designed by Sir Christopher Wren, this masterpiece features a magnificent dome, intricate carvings and stunning stained-glass windows. Climb the 528 steps to the Golden Gallery for incredible views of London's skyline.

Westminster Abbey

Westminster Abbey, located in Westminster is a majestic and historically significant Anglican church with over a thousand years of British history. As a working church, it hosts daily worship services, and remains the Coronation church of England, where many royal weddings and funerals are held.

The Abbey is also the resting place of 17 English monarchs, including Edward the Confessor, and has been the site of coronations since 1066. The current building dates back to 1245, when it was rebuilt by King Henry III. Its architecture reflects the rich history and religious significance of the Abbey.

As a popular tourist destination, visitors can explore the Abbey's architecture, learn about its history, and attend services throughout the year. If you attend a service at Westminster Abbey, these are free to attend and you won't be charged any admission fee. If you'd like to explore the Abbey as a tourist before or after attending a service, or not attending a service at all, you'll need to purchase a ticket.

Tower of London

I'm sure you'll want to see the Crown Jewels whilst in London and explore the historic Tower of London. You can also watch the Ceremony of the Keys, a centuries -old tradition that takes place every night at The Tower of London. The ceremony starts at exactly 9.52pm with the chief Yeoman leave the Byward Tower with a candle lantern and joins the Escort to the Keys.

It's a unique experience and tickets are limited, so it's essential to book in advance.
