The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh is one of our favourite places in the city.

An oasis very close to the centre offering lovely walks through beautiful plant and tree life.

It has a long and glorious history, having been established in 1670 as a physic garden near Holyrood Palace to grow medicinal plants.

Keep an eye out for seasonal events or exhibitions - especially the Christmas Light Show!
