Tokyo is honestly one of the best places you’ll visit in Japan.
It’s fast, fun, and full of energy, the kind of city that keeps you on your toes.
There’s no way you’ll see it all in one trip (trust me, I’ve tried!), but that’s what makes it so exciting.
One of my favorite memories is wandering around Shinjuku at night, surrounded by neon lights and the buzz of the city. It felt like I’d stepped into a different world.
If you do anything, make sure you carve out some time to explore Tokyo after dark. Shinjuku, Shibuya, and Asakusa are some of the best spots to soak it all in, and each one has its own vibe.
You’ve got to check out Tokyo’s little food alleys while you’re there. Omoide Yokocho (it’s called “Memory Lane,” which feels so fitting) is an absolute must.
