Message from Hello Mallory

The Moki Dugway Scenic Backway is one of my favorite drives in all of Utah. This crazy road was carved into the cliffs back in the 1950s for mining, but now it's a must-do for adventurous travelers. With sharp switchbacks and a steep descent of 1,200 feet, it's not for the faint of heart, but if you're up for the challenge, the panoramic vistas of Valley of the Gods and Monument Valley are totally worth it! Take your time and I HIGHLY suggest taking this if you're going from Monument Valley/Mexican Hat up to Natural Bridges.

The road is paved and usually grated so any 2WD vehicle will be okay to travel. If driving an RV - please look up restrictions and this road has very tight switchbacks. The state of Utah recommends only vehicles shorter than 28 feet long attempt this road.
