Book through the 'saltee ferry' . The boat ride takes less than 30 minutes out to the island. You will need to be prepared to walk in water to get from the boat to the Island as there aren't any docks. (maybe bring spare socks/shoes). the boat ride can be rough so even if it's sunny, you could get wet (bring a raincoat and dry bag).

watch out for seals and dolphins. You'll often see seals in the harbobur and around the Island.
