Itchan Kala is the walled inner town of Khiva, Uzbekistan, protected as a World Heritage Site since 1990. This old town is packed with over 50 historic monuments and 250 old houses dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries. From the Juma Mosque to the Ak Mosque, madrasahs, mausoleums, caravanserais, and markets, Itchan Kala is a treasure trove of Central Asian architecture and history. So, if you're into exploring ancient wonders and soaking up some serious culture, this place is definitely worth checking out!
