The Hazrat Khizr Mosque in Samarkand is a cool historical spot associated with the legendary Islamic prophet Khizr. It was built in the mid-19th century on the site of an ancient mosque that dates back to the Arab conquest of Sogd in the 8th century. The current mosque, with its Persian-style architecture, features a khanqah, minaret, and a beautifully decorated portal. Fun fact: it also houses the mausoleum of Uzbekistan's First President, Islam Karimov. So, if you're into history and stunning architecture, this place is definitely worth checking out!
