Kizimkazi, officially Kizimkazi Mkunguni, is a fishing village located on the southern coast of Zanzibar, Tanzania. The city has an exciting historic feel and offers visitors daily excursions to go see bottlenose dolphins in their natural habitat. Kizimkazi is truly unique; it's one of only a few walled cities on the Swahili Coast in Africa, and is an incredibly popular tourist destination for its vibrant culture and coastal activities. Visitors can explore the area’s coral reefs, take part in diving excursions, or simply take time to relax on the gorgeous beaches.
