The Certosa di San Martino is the only surviving example of a great 18th-century Carthusian monastery in Italy, and is one of Naples’ most imposing sights.

Castel Sant'Elmo is a fascinating medieval fortress in Naples, Italy with an interesting and unique history. Its majestic architecture was designed up under the reign of Don Pedro de Toledo in 1537 and has since served as an autonomous military outpost. With its hexagonal star shape surrounded by walls, numerous embrasures in the bastions and high walls surrounding a moat, Castel Sant'Elmo is a truly impressive sight. Inside, you can explore centuries of military and civilian history, including art exhibits, a library, parade grounds, and more. If you're interested in exploring the fascinating world of Naples, Castel Sant'Elmo should definitely be on the itinerary!
