The Hakone Amasake Chaya Teahouse is a cozy teahouse along the ancient Tokaido Road, known for its traditional amasake rice beverage and freshly pounded mochi rice cakes. With a thatched roof and open fireplace, it's the perfect place to take a break while exploring the area. The sweet and savory mochi make great souvenirs, and the centuries-old recipe adds a special touch to this charming teahouse experience (and they're traditionally vegan too!)
