This is a cool spot within the castle complex where you can check out some awesome art. It's like a mini art museum right in the heart of the castle, showcasing paintings and artworks that give you a glimpse into Czech history and culture.
Obrazárna Pražského hradu, also known as the Picture Gallery of Prague Castle offers a permanent exhibition featuring over a hundred works from the total of about 4000 paintings owned by the castle.
This collection includes significant pieces by artists such as Titian, Aachen, and Rubens, originating from the original collection of Emperor Rudolf II from the late 16th century.
Despite historical losses, the Picture Gallery maintains quality comparable to leading European art collections. Newer additions feature works by Italian, German, Dutch, Flemish masters, along with Czech Baroque paintings purchased from the Masaryk Fund in the 1930s.
