Those lakes are the only salt water lakes in Europe. The city has turned them into a swimming and bathing area with multiple beaches. The Pannonian lakes complexs consists of three lakes of various depth and size and salt waterfalls. The whole lake complex consists of not only the bathing area but also a geological museum, a children's playground, sports fields, and restaurants – especially if you have kids, you can easily spend the whole day here.
