Smail Žilić and his wife Munever and his wife are the loveliest people and won an award for making the very best cheese in the whole Balkans – right here, in a little village in the west of Bosnia and Herzegovina. At Kupres Milch, they only use organic milk and produce small quantities every day, the milk is used within the first hour or two after being delivered. The herbs the cows eat, the salty wind from the sea and the location give the cheese a very special taste. You can have a look at the production and, of course, also try and buy the cheese here.
