Charles Knife Canyon is a scenic canyon located just 20 minutes south of Exmouth. The scenic road takes travellers up to the top of the range for spectacular views over the canyon and Exmouth Gulf.

We drove there and stopped on the last bit of road to see the sunrise and it was so worth it!

There is also a trail nearby – a 6km loop which brings you around the canyon. The best views in our opinion are from the spot you can reach with the car though.

Photo tip: sunrise is the best! Highly recommend taking the photos from the rocks where you can leave the car before the road ends, you'll get the best views from there.

It is part of a National Park so make sure you have a Western Australia National Park Pass
