The Gothic Quarter of Barcelona is one of the city's most iconic districts and a perfect place to explore some of Catalonia's ancient history. Here visitors can follow in the footsteps of legendary painter Pablo Picasso, or grab a bite at Spain's second oldest restaurant - the iconic Can Culleretes. Don't forget to stop by La Boqueria market either for its generous portions of traditional Catalan cuisine! After exploring the quarter, why not head over to Plaça Reial to take in Gaudi's beautiful street lamps - some of his earliest works - before immersing yourself in one of Barcelona's vibrant festivals like Fiesta De Barceloneta, where you can dance away under the Spanish sun.
