Choeung Ek Genocidal Center, located in Cambodia, was a former orchard turned into a Killing Field by the Khmer Rouge regime between 1975 and 1979. It is infamous for being one of the approximately 300 Killing Fields where over one million people were executed during the Cambodian genocide. Today, it serves as a memorial with a Buddhist stupa filled with over 5,000 human skulls, reminding visitors of the atrocities that took place there. The site is a chilling reminder of the dark chapter in Cambodia's history and a somber place to pay respects to the victims of this tragic period.
