What you’ll do

I think the Northwest of Bosnia and Herzegovina is highly underrated! This region boasts the most beautiful waterfalls and clear rivers and is so worth exploring! In five days, you can see quite a bit of the beautiful nature the region and its three main cities, Bihać, Jajce and Banja Luka. I recommend you rent a car as this gives you more flexibility. All the hotels I suggest in this guide offer parking.

On the first day, you pick up your rental car and check into the Courtyard Marriott hotel. I normally prefer locally-owned accommodations but in my experience, the Marriott hotel ist simply your best choice in Banja Luka. Today you explore the city center and the main sites of town – don't worry, Banja Luka is not very big so you can see it all in a day.
