Cornwall Park is located in the heart of Auckland, and it’s such a vibe! It truly feels like a little slice of paradise where you can escape city life and immerse yourself in nature, history, and best of all some friendly farm animals.
It’s a popular spot, but don’t worry, there are plenty of car parks available. If you’re driving a bigger campervan, just be aware that the entrance to the park is through a super narrow brick gate. Vans should be fine, but if you’re in a motorhome, it’s best to park in the car park across the street.
There are so many grassy areas to choose from where you can enjoy a picnic or just lay in the sun. And the cows and sheep roam the paddocks and move around depending on the day!
During your visit, I highly recommend walking up to the One Tree Hill scenic overlook. It’s a short walk around 1-2kms and definitely worth it for the views.
If you’re lucky, you might also catch the cherry blossoms. From mid-September to early October, the park is home to beautiful cherry blossoms that are absolutely stunning.
