The Iziko Slave Lodge in Cape Town is one of the city's oldest buildings with a rich history. Originally known by different names like Government Offices Building and Old Supreme Court, it was renamed the Slave Lodge in 1998. The museum explores the history of slavery in South Africa and addresses human rights issues through exhibitions. Visitors can see ceramics and silverware collections on display, with plans to transform galleries to reflect national heritage and history. The museum is open Monday to Saturday and offers discounted entry for South African residents.
