The Quiver Tree Forest is an incredible attraction located in southern Namibia. It's made up of over 250 specimens of the Aloidendron dichotomum, or quiver tree, a species that derives its name from the San peoples' traditional use of its branches for making quivers. The forest has been there for centuries and when the yellow flowers begin to bloom from June to July, it's a sight to behold! The Giant's Playground close by adds to the experience - a seemingly never-ending pile of large dolerite rocks that are famous for their unique geology. With wildlife like rock hyraxes living amongst the rocks and abundant nectar for the critters, the Quiver Tree Forest makes for a truly majestic and exciting adventure!
