The Kanchanaburi War Cemetery (or Don-Rak War Cemetery, as it is locally known) is a the main cemetery for victims of Japanese imprisonment while constructing the Burma Railway during World War II. It holds the remains of 6,982 British, Australian and Dutch prisoners of war and is located in the town of Kanchanaburi, Thailand. The cemetery was designed by Colin St Clair Oakes and maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. Make sure to visit this historic location and pay your respects to those who lost their lives here!
